posts and pages

I really love wordpress. It’s more than the ordinary blog, and I’m happy to have found it. I love that I can create pages that don’t get shifted down and lost in chronological order. I can make permanent links on the right-hand side of the page so certain things can be found whenever they’re wanted.

The downside of creating separate pages is that if you depend on an RSS feed to keep up to date with me, you never know when I’ve added pictures or music or something else random or fun.

And the downside to the downside is that I don’t plan to write posts to inform you about everything that I add in my pages. So my RSS friends still won’t discover the new stuff without clicking on my page. But if you do check my page on a regular (or otherwise) basis, look for a temporary “NEW!” beside the links in the right-hand column.

And if we’re going so far as to have a downside to the downside, don’t you think we should balance it with at least a little bit of an upside?

Nah.

Unless it would brighten your day to know that once camp was finished, I came home and swept (most of) my home and did some cleaning. It was as enlivening to this tired mother as a good, long nap.
